ID & Age Verification
You must also ensure that you age verify each customer purchasing fireworks.
The legal age to purchase fireworks is 18. So all purchasers must be 18 years of age on or before the day of sale.
This verification process is done by asking for any of the following government-issued I.D.
- Provincial Driveru2019s License (issued by a Canadian Province or Territory)
- Provincial Identification Card (i.e. British Columbia Identification Card, Alberta Operatoru2019s License or Identification Card)*
- Canadian Permanent Residency Card
- Health/Services Card
- Combination Driveru2019s License and BC Services Card
- Passport (Canadian or foreign)
- NEXUS Card
- Canadian Certificate of Indian Status*
*Cards/Certificates without an expiry date are not accepted.
