Advise them to always wear safety goggles and gloves when discharging fireworks.
Review the discharge instructions on the article or packaging.
You must supply every customer with a copy of the Government Safety pamphlet. This is a requirement under law. (See the next slide for an example). More information may be found in information bulletin #3.
Make sure they understand their local bylaw requirements for discharge times, locations, dates and any other pertinent information.
A customer may transport up to 150 kg of gross mass at one time when transporting fireworks from your store to their home. The fireworks need to be placed in the trunk or back of the vehicle.
Give each customer a copy of the CNFA’s “Be a Good Neighbour” pamphlet. It explains how to use fireworks responsibly and respect their neighbours.
