Legal versus Illegal fireworks

Canada’s Chief Inspector of Explosives (CIE) is the person that approves fireworks that are legal to sell, user, transport and store in Canada. He/she works in the federal Department of Natural Resources. The federal explosives regulator (inspectors) work for the CIE in the Explosives Regulatory Division.
If a fireworks package or article does not have both French and English instructions, it is not legal to sell in Canada.
It is an offence to sell illegal fireworks in Canada.
