How to find your local bylaw!

To find your bylaw go to your computer and open the internet.

Then type in fireworks bylaw or fire bylaw in the search toolbar

Note: If you find no bylaw in your community your regulations revert to the Federal Government regulations.

The following are key points that you must know:

Designated dates that fireworks are allowed to be discharged legally.
Times that discharge is allowed, e.g., 6pm till 11pm
Discharge Permit. Is a Permit to Discharge required in your municipality? If so, it will explain the steps on how to obtain one and give the phone number for your local fire department to obtain one.
