WHO WE ARE

Advocating for a Safe, Fair, and Celebratory Fireworks Industry in Canada

The Canadian National Fireworks Association (CNFA) was founded to be a clear and united voice for Canada’s fireworks industry—advocating for fair, practical regulations at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels. Our mission is rooted in promoting safety, protecting industry interests, and preserving the role fireworks play in Canadian culture and celebration.

Despite common misconceptions, Canadian fireworks—when used responsibly—are proven to be safe. Our national safety statistics reflect this. Too often, fireworks-related data from the United States is used to justify overly restrictive Canadian policies, despite their very different regulations and product standards. CNFA works to ensure that Canada’s decisions are based on Canadian data, and on facts—not fear.

We are made up of industry experts, business leaders, and advocates who share a commitment to public safety, professional standards, and responsible celebration. At the helm are founding directors Rod Cameron and Kelly Guille, who each bring decades of experience and leadership to the Association.
